One of the most popular horse tours in Kyrgyzstan, this 6-day journey takes you through mountain valleys and high passes to the stunning alpine lake Song-Kol. You will ride horses, stay in traditional yurts, and experience authentic nomadic life.

Itinerary

Day 1: Kyzart – Kilemche Valley
Start from Bishkek by car at 8am, arrive in Kyzart by noon. Tour starts from the guesthouse in Kyzart after lunch. Then we will go on horseback to the "Kilemche" Shepherd's House. Along the way, you will enjoy beautiful mountain landscapes. Upon arrival at "Kilemche," you will have free time to explore the area and observe the life of local nomads. In the evening, you can enjoy dinner and spend the night in cozy yurts of locals in Kilemche Valley. Horseback riding for 4 hours. The first day serve the purpose of getting to know the horses and the local riding style. Dinner and overnight in a Local’s yurt camp.
Day 2: Kilemche – Tuz-Ashuu Pass, (northern side of the lake)
On the second day, we embark on a hike to Son-Kul Lake. The first part of the journey will take us through the Jalgyz Karagai Pass, which stands at an altitude of 3400 meters. Here, you will witness breathtaking panoramic views of Son-Kul Lake. After crossing the pass, our path follows along the lake shore to the Tuz Ashu area. Here, you can enjoy the beauty of the lake and spend the night in comfortable yurts. Lunch/dinner/overnight in the yurt camp. Horseback riding for 4-5 hours.
Day 3: Tuz-Ashuu Pass – Batai-Aral – Kumduu Suu (northeastern side of
Song-Kol)
After breakfast, ride towards Batai-Aral. Lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight in a yurt camp or tents. Horseback riding for 5-6 hours.
Day 4: Kumduu Suu – Tash-Tobo (southwestern side of Song-Kol)
On this day, after breakfast, we continue our journey on horseback toward Tash-Tobo, located on the southwestern shore of Song-Kol Lake. The 4-5 hour ride takes us through stunning mountain landscapes, where we will once again immerse ourselves in the nomadic way of life, observing the daily routines of shepherds and experiencing the vast, open pastures they call home. Along the way, we will stop for lunch in nature, surrounded by breathtaking views. By evening, we arrive at the yurt camp, where a warm dinner and a peaceful night under the stars await.
Day 5: Tash-Tobo – Tulpar-Tash (southwestern side of Song-Kol)
After breakfast, we will set off on horseback toward Tulpar-Tash, located on the southwestern shore of Song-Kol Lake. The ride will take 4-5 hours, passing through beautiful landscapes, green pastures, and majestic mountains. Along the way, we will stop for lunch in nature, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. By evening, we will arrive at the yurt camp, where a warm dinner and a cozy night under the starry sky await us.
Day 6: Tulpar-Tash – Kyzart – Bishkek
On this day, we continue our journey around Son-Kul Lake and cross the Kara-Kiya Pass at an altitude of 3400 meters. From here, we descend to the village of Kyzart, where you will have lunch at a guesthouse. Horseback riding for 4.5 hours. After lunch, you can return to Bishkek.
